Google analytics offers a fantastic range of data that can be bamboozling to those who have not used it before. You find yourself asking questions such as “where do I start?” and “what area do I focus on?”. We are hosting an interactive Webinar on the 30th September at 1pm. We are aiming to divulge into the metrics of Google Analytics, to help our audience understand what it is they are reading and what the data stipulates. There are two pages that predominantly get clicked on as a novice learner “Audience Overview” and “Acquisition Overview” but the question is “what am I looking at and why is this important?”

When looking at this data, you can gather the idea of how well things are doing but we need to understand the crucks of how well the website is doing; where we need to focus and how we can focus on improving the data and understanding of what the data is saying. How well is your blog/website actually doing?

Google Analytics is a great tool to see how well your blog is doing on your website, a blog is important as this can generate new leads. We tend to only look at the views on a blog or how many new visitors we are receiving to the website however, we can also take a look at the customer retention of your website and see how many of those customers are coming back to the website or viewing a blog on a weekly and monthly basis.
